Since 1896 the National Council of Women of New Zealand has lobbied for social justice by

  • educating women on topical issues,
  • collecting their opinions, and
  • representing those opinions to decision makers

The Council is

  • a way to get involved with current women's issues
  • a network of women throughout Aotearoa / New Zealand
  • an umbrella organisation for womens' groups
